It has been brought to my notice that some of the Zonal Officers and the ILM Grade-II and Grade-III are stamping such Weighing & Measuring instruments for which valid model approval certificate required to be issued by the Central Government has not been issued till date. Needless to say that manufacturing of such Weights & Measures is offence under the provisions of Weights & Measures Laws.
All the Inspectors, Legal Metrology are hereby advised to be very careful while stamping any weighing and measuring instruments.
