The following norms should be complied with while disposing off the work in Weights & Measures Department.

1. Compounding of offences booked by zonal staff, on the date given for compounding at the level of CWM and ACWM.
2. Issue of registration under rule 27 of The Legal Metrology (Packaged Commodities) Rules, 2011.
3. All work except issue of license and renewal of licenses and Registration of manufacturer/packer/importer to be disposed within prescribed period at the District Level.
4. Issue & renwal of Manufacturer, Dealer and Repairer license of Weight s and Measures is to be completed in 45 days. 
5. Calibration of Taxi/ Auto meters and Tank Lories are done on same date as far as possible.
